Megaupload vs. Rapidshare
| In the post How To Download Movie from the Internet Part 2, I’ve mentioned about the 2 most popular intermediary hosts/servers for up/download files: Megaupload.com and Rapidshare.com. Why are they so popular among the providers of online storage and web hosting services? The answer is not really easy to given out if you are their short-term customers. My experience of being their customers for over 2 years allows me to say that Megaupload and Rapidshare are famous because of their excellent services and reliable, fast and stable servers plus instant technical support response 24/7. |

Because both of them provide excellent services of online storage and web hosting, it is really hard for us to pick one of them. Let me give you a short comparison between Rapidshare and Megaupload.

It seems like Megaupload is the winner in this competition. However, you should remember that it depends on the forums that you join to pick the right providers of online storage and web hosting services for you. If your forums mainly give out Rapidshare links, Rapidshare, hence, should be the winner.
Online storage trend of the Internet
More and more people nowadays consider saving files on the Internet is the most convenient method because they don’ have to carry anything with them all the time. Imaging that one day you will upload all your new movie on an intermediary hosts and go to another computer, download (less than 5 minutes) and watch them instead of bringing you big portable hard drive. Or you can share those movie/files with you friends instantly in over the world instead of sending DVDs to them. That would be cool heh? That is why those providers of online storage and web hosting services exist.
